NCHSAA TO ADD PROGRAM TO ITS SPORTSMANSHIP INITIATIVES





CHAPEL HILL – Charlie Adams, executive director of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association, announced today an effort to improve sportsmanship by utilizing an online sportsmanship education program that includes an emphasis on anti-bullying and the hazards of performance-enhancing substances.

RALEIGH— McKenzie Morenus hit a two-run home run in a big fourth inning as defending state champion Matthews David Butler rallied to beat North Davidson 5-3 in the championship game of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 4-A softball championships at Walnut Creek Softball Complex on Saturday.

ORANGE RALLIES IN SEVENTH AGAIN TO WIN STATE CHAMPIONSHIP



GREENSBORO – Carvel Copeland delivered a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh to drive home the winning run as Orange rallied for three in the final frame to beat East Rutherford 3-2 and clinch the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 2-A baseball championship series at UNCG Baseball Stadium.
