BURLINGTON, NC - Long-time former Eastern Guilford High School Coach Tommy Grayson passed away at his family’s Burlington home on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at age 74. Arrangements and services have not been determined at this time and will be updated when they become available.

The award recognizes the high schools that achieve the best overall interscholastic athletic performance within each of the state’s four competitive classifications.
The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA), in conjunction with Wells Fargo, has announced the final standings in the Wells Fargo Conference Cup competitions for the 2018-2019 sports season. The Wells Fargo Cup award, sponsored by Wells Fargo and the NCHSAA, recognizes the schools that achieve the best overall interscholastic athletic performance within each of the state’s four competitive classifications.
Former A.L. Brown Football Coach, Bob Boswell, passed away at age 82 following a long bout with cancer.
Boswell's career highlights include leading Graham High School to the 3A Regional Title in 1965, when play did not culminate in a State Championship Game for all classifications. He also led T.W. Andrews to a 4A State Championship in 1972, and was the school's first Head Coach. He won over 100 games during his time at A.L. Brown and coached five future NFL players.
