On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Union Pines High School blasted a NCHSAA baseball record 11 home runs against East Montgomery. East Montgomery added two of its own for r a two-team total of 13. That is also an NCHSAA record for combined home runs in a game by two teams. Union Pines won 16-9.
