2025 NCHSAA Baseball Championship Game Notes

1A: Perquimans vs. Uwharrie Charter

The Perquimans Pirates are making their seventh appearance in the NCHSAA Baseball Championships. The Pirates won in their first appearance in 1952 and won in their last appearance in 2021, beating Cherryville two games to one. This year, the Pirates are 25-6 and went 10-0 in the Four Rivers Conference. 

Uwharrie Charter is playing in the State Championship Series for the fourth time and third time in a row. The Eagles have never lost a Championship Series game, sweeping Rosewood in 2019, North Moore in 2023 and Northside (Pinetown) last year. This year, the Eagles are 18-11 and went 9-3 in the Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A Conference

2A: East Rutherford vs. South Lenoir

East Rutherford is playing in its 10th NCHSAA Championship Series and they will be looking for their seventh Championship. They last appeared in 2016, when they beat South Granville 10-5 in game three. This season, the Cavaliers are 28-1, losing only Game 1 of the Regional Final. 

South Lenoir is making its NCHSAA Championship Series debut this weekend. South Lenoir is 23-4 this season and went 11-1 in the East Central Conference. 

3A: J.H. Rose vs. North Lincoln

The Rampants of J.H. Rose are back in the State finals for the ninth time and are looking for their seventh NCHSAA Championship. The Rampants last appeared in 2023 when they lost to West Henderson. Rose’s last title came in 2021, a sweep of Cox Mill. This season, Rose is 27-4 and went 10-2 in the Big East 3A/4A Conference. 

North Lincoln is playing in its second NCHSAA Championship series, they swept Randleman in the 2019 2A Championship Series in their debut. North Lincoln is 21-8 this year and went 12-2 in the Western Foothills Conference

4A: Laney vs. T.C. Roberson

Laney is making its second appearance in the State Championship Series, having won in 2010 2-1 over East Forsyth. Laney is 25-5 this year and went 13-1 in the Mideastern 3A/4A Conference. 

T.C. Roberson is making its ninth appearance in the State Championship Finals and has won six state championships including in 2023 and 2024. Last season, the Rams swept Ashley 3-0 and 8-1. The Rams are 25-6 this year and went 11-1 in The Mountain 3A/4A Conference.
