2019 NCHSAA UHC Turkey Bowl

Donation Drives will take place for 1 week on schools’ campuses from November 4 – November 8. Get creative with your donation drive! Have a penny war between classes, send a bucket around during sporting events' half- times, have a bake sale – the possibilities are endless! 

Participating Schools:

  • Franklinton
  • Gray's Creek
  • Heide Trask
  • Hickory Ridge
  • Holmes
  • Jones
  • North Lincoln
  • Southeast Halifax

 


 

  • Start promoting the Donation Drive at your campus for the week of November 4 – November 8. 
  • Tag @UHC @NCHSAA and use #UHCTurkeyBowl in social media posts and gain extra points in the competition.
    • On November 4, start collecting donations! 
    • Donation collections end on November 8.
    • The week of November 11 either:
  • Turn in the monetary donations to your local food bank and send a picture of the donation receipt to kayla@nchsa.org or weigh the food collected for your local food bank/school pantry and send a picture of the food and the weight in pounds to kayla@nchsaa.org.

Winning schools will be determined by the number of meals that the monetary donation and/or food contribution provides plus the number of social media posts. 

  • $1.00 = 4 meals
  • 1.2 lbs of food = 1 meal.
  • 1 original social media post with correct tags (@UHC, @NCHSAA, #UHCTurkeyBowl) = 1 meal. 

Top 4 Schools will each win funds for their athletic program!

  • 1st place: $1,000
  • 2nd place: $750 
  • 3rd place: $500
  • 4th place: $250
