Each week an athlete in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association are selected for the Performance of the Week Award, Powered by OrthoCarolina. These athletes are nominated by coaches, media, and school administrators for their outstanding performance.
The OrthroCarolina Performer of the Week for week twelve of NCHSAA competition go to Kayda Geyer from Union Academy High School.
Geyer a member of the Union Academy High School swim team won the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:03.87 and the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.63 last Friday night. Kayda has already qualified for the regional finals in the butterfly, breaststroke and 200 medley relay. Kayda’s team also finished the meet in first place Friday night.
