Matt joined the NCHSAA staff in April 2025 as the Receptionist and Office Assistant. Before joining the Association, he was involved in collegiate athletics, serving on the Women’s Basketball coaching staffs at both the University of Maryland and the University of Florida.

A Chapel Hill native, Matt earned his undergraduate degree in Business Analytics and Sport Management from Elon University in 2018. He later obtained his master’s degree in Sport Administration from the University of Florida, where he also contributed to the Gators’ Women’s Basketball program as a graduate manager.

In his free time, Matt enjoys staying active—whether it’s playing or watching sports, especially golf and basketball—working out, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
