Each week two athletes in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association are selected for the Performance of the Week Award, Powered by OrthoCarolina. These athletes are nominated by coaches, media, and school administrators for their outstanding performance.
The OrthroCarolina Performer of the Week for week eleven of NCHSAA competition go to Jarod Glenn from AC Reynolds High School.
Glenn a member of the AC Reynolds High School football team pulled off an upset as they defeated the defending 4A Western Regional Champions Chambers High School. Glenn clinched the victory for AC Reynolds as he kicked the game winning field goal with 1:36 left on the clock. The field goal was from 41 yards in bad weather. AC Reynolds will play Butler in round 3 of the NCHSAA State Football Playoffs.
