CHAPEL HILL – The North Carolina High School Athletic Association concluded the two-day Individual State Championships for Women’s Tennis with Semifinals and Championships on Saturday, October 26th, at three sites around the state.
Of note, Jenna Thompson from South Mecklenburg claimed her fourth consecutive 4A Singles Championship, making her the first person to win the 4A Women’s Tennis Singles Championship in all four years of high school eligibility. She joins a handful of other players in achieving this feat in other classifications.
Charlotte Catholic’s Rose Kenny won her third straight 3A Singles Championship. Her teammates Maggie Gehrig and Ava Tan took the 3A Doubles title. Complete results are below.
