Winston-Salem Prep Women win their second straight beating Plymouth 66-34

WINSTON-SALEM PREP CRUISES PAST PLYMOUTH 66-34

Winston-Salem Prep (28-3) started hot and didn’t look back as they blasted Plymouth (29-2) 66-34 to win their second straight 1A Women’s Basketball State Championship.

The Phoenix led 21-10 after one quarter and 33-13 at the half. Jada Craig and Kayla Robinson added 10 points each. Craig was named the game’s M.V.P. adding five assists and a steal to her 10 point night.

Mychala Wolfe led Winston-Salem Prep with 13 points and 4 rebounds on the game. She was named the Phoenix’s Most Outstanding Player.

Winston-Salem Prep shot a blistering 46.2% from three-point distance hitting 6 of their 13 shots from deep. The Phoenix forced 37 turnovers in the game, while committing just 17 of their own.

Brittany Franklin led Plymouth on the day with 14 points and 13 rebounds. She was named the Viking’s Most Outstanding Player. Only one other Plymouth player managed to get into double figures as Daneya Rouson picked up 12 on the day.
