May 20, 2013             On this day in history in the NCHSAA, legendary football coach Jack Holley died in Teachey after a prolonged illness.  Holley coached for 44 seasons and won a whopping 412 games, including successful stints at Tabor City and Wallace-Rose Hill.

Reynolds High School of Winston-Salem won its third consecutive men's state dual team tennis title, beating Raleigh Wakefield 5-0 at the Burlington Tennis Center.  Jack Riazzi, the number-three singles player for Reynolds, was named the championship MVP.
