ELON— Samatha Seligman has been named as the new softball coach at Western Alamance High School, according to the Burlington Times-News.

        Seligman will replace Donna Deaton, who gave up the job when she took a position outside of the school system. Deaton held the coaching job for seven seasons.

        Seligman, who attended Purdue and UNC Greensboro, comes to Western Alamance from Western Guilford.  She is a guidance counselor at Western Alamance after serving in that capacity at Western Guilford.
