T.c. Roberson Softball Coach Resigns

ASHEVILLE—Pop Huntsinger, head softball coach at T.C. Roberosn High School, has resigned, according to a report in the Asheville Citizen-Times.

Huntsinger plans to stay at the school and serve as an assistant coach. He guided his teams to three consecutive Mountain Athletic Conference championships and his team posted a 14-8 record a year ago.

One of his players, outfielder Izzy McCurry, set the NCHSAA career record for home runs in fast pitch softball as she finished her career with 40 homers last spring.
