St. Stephens Women’s Soccer Coach Steps Down

         HICKORY—St. Stephens High School women’s soccer coach Chuck Davis has announced that he is retiring from coaching, according to a report in the Hickory Daily Record.

         Davis, age 47, has spent 26 years as an assistant or head coach in high school but noted that he plans to pursue school administration and needed to go ahead and make that move.

         He has coached the women’s soccer team at St. Stephens for the last 16 years and had also coached the men’s team there.  He was an assistant for 10 years at Freedom High in Morganton.

         Davis plans to continue as a math teacher at St. Stephens.
