SANFORD— Reggie Peace has been named athletic directorof Lee County High School by principal Kenna Wilson, according to a release by the school.

Peace replaces the retiring Steve Womack, who spent 39 years in various capacities at Lee County and will continue to do some work as athletic trainer. 

Peace will be beginning his fourteenth year as teacher and head basketball coach at Lee County High School.  He has led two different basketball teams to the state 4A finals, including Greensboro Ben L. Smith in 1995 and Lee County in 2003.
