Former Lakewood High School basketball star Chasity Melvin has added another honor to her list of accomplishments.

     She will be entering the North Carolina State University Hall of Fame after a professional career that included 12 years in the WNBA and playing in several countries overseas. She scored 37 points in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 1-A championship game in 1994 to lead Lakewood to an 80-60 triumph over Murphy.
