            On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Richmond Senior downed Fayetteville Jack Britt 62-37 in a battle of perennial football playoff teams. Brent Flowers of Richmond ran for 258 yards and five touchdowns and also threw for a pair of scores and had 230 yards passing.  Harrison Strothers passed for 255 yards for Jack Britt.
