Kris Britton has been announced as the new women’s basketball coach at Eastern Guilford High School.

Britton replaces Tina Gunn, who took a similar position at Greensboro Grimsley.

Britton has formerly coached at Greensboro Dudley, where she led her team to the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state 3-A women’s basketball title, the only state championship in women’s basketball ever for Dudley.

The former coach at Dudley was there from 2004 through 2010, with her teams posting a record of 144-29 during that time. She had left Dudley to pursue coaching at the college level.
