Brevard Volleyball Coach Steps Down

BREVARD—Jessica Merrill, head volleyball coach at Brevard High School, has resigned, according to a report in the Asheville Citizen-Times.

Merrill served as head coach there for five seasons, and the team’s record in the final two years was 38-15, the best in the history of Brevard volleyball. The Blue Devils went 18-7 during the 2013 season.

Merrill was 63-58 in five seasons, and the Blue Devils’ mark during her final two seasons (38-15) were the best in their program’s history.

Merrill plans to pursue her interests in outdoor recreation. A search for a new coach has begun.
