Each week, two athletes in an NCHSAA competition are selected as the recipients of the Performance of the Week award, sponsored by Ortho Carolina. Whether you walk, run, or ride, Ortho Carolina will keep you healthy why you do it.
This week the NCHSAA recognizes Katriel Williams, a senior on the Marvin Ridge High School Varsity Softball team. Marvin Ridge played 3 games last week and went undefeated behind Williams’ incredible performances. The NC A&T signee, through 3 games has a .900 BA, 5 singles, 1 double, and 3 triples while adding 10 runs. She also had 2 RBI’s!
We also recognize Cameron Padgett, a senior on the East Rowan Varsity Baseball team. Padgett, started off the year pitching a complete game with 12 strike outs and allowing only 1 hit. East Rowan downed North Davidson 4-0. He is also currently batting .429 with 3 hits and a stolen base. Padgett will be playing baseball next year at UNC.
