GRAHAM—Southern Alamance High School athletic director Jon Russell is adding some coaching to his athletic director duties.
Russell, who has not coached in the past two seasons but has an excellent coaching background in softball, will return to the bench to coach the Southern Alamance program, according to a report in the Burlington Times-News.
Chris Miller was the previous coach and resigned at the end of the school year. He remains at the school as an assistant football coach.
Russell has been a head softball coach at Northern Vance and Oxford Webb and has served as an assistant at perennial state championship power Alexander Central.
