Western Alamance Coach Quinn Resigns

     ELON–Western Alamance girls’ basketball coach Sean Quinn resigned over the the weekend, citing a health situation.

     The Burlington Times-News reported and noted that Quinn described a diagnosis of bipolar disorder he needed to manage through medication. He will step away from his coaching duties but remain a teacher at the school.

     Former Graham High School and Greensboro College standout Nikki Wilborn will take over as the head coach of the Western Alamance team.

      Quinn, in his third season coaching at Western Alamance,  came to the school after coaching girls’ basketball and later serving as athletics director at Southern Alamance. He said he hopes by coming forward it might help others with Bipolar Disease.
