NEW HEAD MEN’S BASKETBALL COACH

AT T.W. ANDREWS HIGH SCHOOL

HIGH POINT— Longtime Dudley assistant coach Brian Seagraves has been named the head men’s basketball coach at T.W. Andrews, according to a story in the Greensboro News and Record.

Seagraves replaces James Abell, who resigned after leading Andrews to a 177-51 record and three regional playoff appearances in eight years. Last season the Red Raiders posted a 26-3 mark.

A 1991 graduate of Dudley, Seagraves was the conference player of the year and also played in the North Carolina Coaches Association East-West all-stsra basketball game. He also played point guard for three seasons at North Carolina A&T.

He has coached at Dudley since 1996, the year Brendan Haywood helped lead the Panthers to a state championship.
