SOUTH JOHNSON SOCCER PLAYER
ACHIEVEMENTS ADDED TO NCHSAA RECORDS
A former South Johnston High School men’s soccer player has had his name added to the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Record Book.
The school submitted documentation for Edgar Herrera of South Johnston, who played from 2006 through ’09. His career goal total of 158 places him third all-time in the state, while his 65 goals as a senior is listed as the fourth-best single-season achievement.
