EASTERN ALAMANCE WILL CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY
MCLEANSVILLE–Eastern Alamance High School will be celebrating its 50th anniversary during the 2012-13 academic year.
According to the Burlington Times-News, September 14 will be one of the important dates for the school’s 50-year celebration.
Events will be held on campus, with the Fred Brady Athletic Complex the main venue for activities, and there will be an open house from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the high school.
Eastern Alamance will take on Eastern Guilford that night in a football game, and there will be special recognitions. The first Eastern Alamance football team with its coaches and cheerleaders from 1962 will receive be recognized, and at halftime, faculty and staff from the 1962-63 school year will be recognized along with present and past principals.
Following the game, the school’s gyms will be open for alumni and friends to visit and share memories.
Other activities are being planned for the school year and will be announced at a later date.
