On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Winston-Salem Parkland won its seventh state tournament team title in two different classifications in the last eight years in winning the NCHSAA state 4-A team tournament title in action at the Greensboro Coliseum.  Parkland scored 133 points to 112 for Fayetteville Jack Britt.
