     On this day in history in the NCHSAA, East Mecklenburg and Harding High Schools set the NCHSAA men’s basketball record for most points scored in a game when East Mecklenburg prevailed 124-121 in a triple overtime marathon. The 245 points combined by the two teams are an NCHSAA record.
