Jonathan Leonard

Assistant Director of Business and Finance

Jonathan joined the NCHSAA staff in June 2017 and currently serves as the Assistant Director of Business and Finance. He is responsible for receiving and processing incoming payments from schools, including fees for playoff games, endowment games, membership dues, and catastrophic insurance. Starting in the summer of 2018, Jonathan played a crucial part in building the Accounts Receivable portion of the Home Campus system that all schools are using today. Throughout his time at the NCHSAA, his role has grown to include overseeing and managing the endowment game program. Jonathan works closely with the Association's current Director of Business & Finance, Tavares Toomer, to assist with daily and monthly financial duties. He enjoys working at multiple NCHSAA championships annually.

A native of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and a Southwest Onslow High School graduate, Jonathan was a two-year captain on the football team, also playing basketball and running track for the Stallions.
Jonathan attended Campbell University, graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences. While at Campbell, Jonathan’s life-long love of sports continued as he became a Supervisor for Campus Recreation, spending much of his free time at the intramural sports fields or courts.
Jonathan currently resides in Raleigh. He enjoys attending local sporting events and concerts, hanging out with friends, and spends way too much time watching sports, including his beloved Duke Blue Devils and Denver Broncos.
