Looking for a Partnership?

The North Carolina High School Athletic Association, Inc. (NCHSAA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on a percentage of playoff/championship gate receipts, membership dues, grants, and corporate support to underwrite and fund programs and services enabling for the membership. Other than funding through DHHS for the Student Services program, the NCHSAA is not funded through any State funds or tax-payer dollars.

As an organization, the NCHSAA has had a stable corporate partnership program since the late 1970s. Over the years, as NCHSAA programs and services have expanded to meet member schools' needs and their constituents (currently 414 high schools), the Association staff has secured corporate support to underwrite these programs/services.

Benefits of partnering with the NCHSAA vary. A partnership provides access to a cross-section of North Carolina's population, including high school student-athletes, peers, and friends (ages 14-18); parents and other family members (ages 1-100) from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Furthermore, a partnership can enhance a company/organization's community relations efforts by stimulating statewide sentiment that the company embraces and recognizes the importance of high school athletics as an integral component in the overall development of our best resource…our youth!

The NCHSAA staff values the partnerships it has cultivated over the years and, more importantly, values the people met through these partnerships and the formed relationships.  Is your company or business interested in supporting high school athletics through a corporate partnership? If so, please contact Karen DeHart, Associate Commissioner, at (919) 240-7369 or via email at karen@nchsaa.org.
