Each week, two athletes in an NCHSAA competition are selected as the recipients of the Performance of the Week award, sponsored by Ortho Carolina. Whether you walk, run, or ride, Ortho Carolina will keep you healthy why you do it.
This week the NCHSAA recognizes Jay Legg of Holly Springs High School’s Lacrosse team. Legg scored 6 goals vs Apex and 3 goals vs Panther Creek, all in one week! The sophomore also added an assist.
We also recognize Gracie Hollingsworth of Union Academy’s Varsity Softball team. The junior pitcher totaled 15 innings through 3 games with 0 earned runs, 28 strikeouts, and a BAA of 0.099! She finished the week hitting 5 for 8 with 5 singles, 4 RBI’s and 1 walk.
