Each week, two athletes in an NCHSAA competition are selected as the recipients of the Performance of the Week award, sponsored by Ortho Carolina. Whether you walk, run, or ride, Ortho Carolina will keep you healthy why you do it.
This week the NCHSAA recognizes Jaylin-Milton Hall of Mountain Island Charter’s varsity Track team. Milton-Hall ran a 10.46 in the 100-meter dash and 21.46 in the 200-meter dash on Saturday at the Clash of the Carolina's. He's currently ranked number one in the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash in the state regardless of classifica6on (Per MileSplit).
We also recognize Lex Glemaker of Cape Fear High School’s Varsity Softball team. Glemaker pitched a 14-inning game against Purnell Swett last Monday, totaling 23 strikeouts to seal the victory for Cape Fear. She also pitched a 7-inning game against Midway. She totaled 18 strikeouts and no walks to lead Cape Fear to a 7-0 win over Midway.
