Each week, two athletes in an NCHSAA competition are selected as the recipients of the Performance of the Week award, sponsored by Ortho Carolina. Whether you walk, run, or ride, Ortho Carolina will keep you healthy why you do it.

 

This week the NCHSAA recognizes Tori Ensley of Franklin High School. Ensley, a junior on the women’s basketball team had an excellent showing in the Mountain 7 Conference Tournament! Ensley led her team to a conference tournament title and in the process scored a career best 32 points in both the semi-finals and championship game! During the semi-finals Tori would record a season high 10 steals and follow up with another 3 steals in the conference championship game to tie the school record for most steals in a single season! She was also named Tournament MVP!

 

We also recognize Jeremiah Price, a junior on the Surry Central Wrestling team! He was named Most Outstanding Wrestler of the 2A Classifica6on after winning every state tournament match this past weekend. Price won his state championship match via technical foul and won another match in 10 seconds to win the 152-pound championship. Price finished undefeated for the second consecutive season and has won more than 80 consecutive matches going back to his freshman season. This was also Price’s 3rd consecutive State title.
