Excessive Number of Fall Contests

4.1.6 Endowment Games: One endowment game may be played, which does not count against the regular-season game limitation. The host school must request and be granted prior permission by the NCHSAA to play the endowment game (the request form will be on the NCHSAA website). The opponent must be informed of the request to be classified as an endowment game.

Based on the posted MaxPreps schedules, which was downloaded on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, there are school teams that are scheduled to play more than 10 games in football and more than 23 games in soccer and volleyball. To date, the NCHSAA does not have a request for an endowment game(s) to account for the extra contest(s).

Please complete the Endowment Game request form in Home Campus no later than the end of the regular season to be in compliance. If you feel there is an error in the MaxPreps report or games have recently been modified, email Jonathan Leonard at jonathan@nchsaa.org to let him know.

If you have any questions about Home Campus, email Juli Kidd at juli@nchsaa.org.

NOTES:

  • This page will be updated weekly to reflect changes in endowment games scheduled.
  • Schools with asterisks beside their game count will need to modify their schedule because even with an endowment game, the schedule exceeds the sport limit.
