WEEK 6 | 2023-24 ORTHOCAROLINA PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK

Each week two athletes in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association are selected for the Performance of the Week Award, Powered by OrthoCarolina. These athletes are nominated by coaches, media and school administrators for their outstanding performance.

The OrthoCarolina Performers of the Week for week six of the NCHSAA competition are Taylor Williams from West Johnston High School and Masion Brooks from East Bladen High School.

Williams, a senior captain on the volleyball team, recorded her 1,000th career assist last week and her serving percentage was 88 and 100 in the two games the Wildcats played last week.

Williams leads the team in assists (547) and aces (36) this season. The Wildcats are current 11-4 overall and 9-1 in the conference.

Brooks, a senior running back, ran for 359 yards and seven touchdowns on just 16 carries on Friday night against Pender. The Eagles improved to 3-0 in the conference after their 65-36 win against Pender.

Weekly recipients of the Performance of the Week award powered by OrthoCarolina will be recognized on the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Website and our Social Media pages. Get the orthopedic care you need in a way that works best for you: OrthoCarolina, your care, your way.
