The NCHSAA is now requiring any station interested in broadcasting any NCHSAA playoff game, in any sport, to complete the online Post-Season Broadcast Request Form. This decision applies to ALL broadcasts, including but not limited to: radio, television, internet streaming, and any other method. It applies to live and delayed broadcasts as well.
On that form, there is a place to designate whether or not the broadcast will exclusively be distributed via the NFHS Network. If "no" is clicked, make sure you put the station information (Call letters, Frequency/Channel, and website) for where people can listen or view the game. This will be included on the NCHSAA’s posting of Approved Broadcasts during the playoffs each week.
Media outlets will still pay the host school via a check made out to the school. Beginning next week, the NCHSAA will require the form be submitted at least 48 hours prior to game time. This week, please get the form done as soon as possible, and we’ll be somewhat lenient as this notice is going out close to that 48-hour mark.
