Changes In Cross Country, Track At Nash Central

ROCKY MOUNT—  There are changes in coaches for both cross country and women’s outdoor track and field at Nash Central High School, according to the Rocky Mount Telegram.

Veteran coach Brian Winham is retiring from teaching and coaching after 31 years, the last 11 of which have been at Nash Central.  Winham has also been a head coach in Georgia, at Leesville Road and at Northern Nash.

Marshall Leonard, who has coached indoor track and field at Northern Nash and was an assistant with Winham, will take over both of the cross country programs and the women’s track and field program. Leonard is a 1993 graduate of Northern Nash who ran for Winham for four years there.
