NOTE: Schools may not request more than one media outlet to broadcast a given contest via over-the-air television. This protects the media outlet that has purchased the rights to televise live, over-the-air. Schools may request consent from the original purchasing media outlet for another entity to stream live, but the media outlet is not obligated to comply. Live internet streaming by multiple stations is allowed, provided the school agrees, and collects the appropriate fees and no over-the-air television station has purchased the rights to the content.
Also note that the NCHSAA will remit host school fee payments to the respective host schools at the conclusion of the sports season in which the school hosts a live, over-the-air televised game.
