Evan Sauer joined the NCHSAA staff in April of 2022 and is currently the Director of Marketing, Development and Student Programs. Before his time with the NCHSAA, Sauer worked for Duke University and their Athletic Department for five years as the Assistant Director of Resource Acquisition, Premium Services and Hospitality.
Sauer, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, attended Leesville Road High School, where he played baseball for four seasons. After graduating from Leesville Road High School in 2011, he attended NC State University, where he graduated from the College of Natural Resources with a degree in Sport Management.
Outside of work, Sauer still enjoys being active in sports participating in many still to this day. On any given afternoon, you can still find him on the basketball court, baseball field, tennis court or soccer field to name a few. He has also been a football official with the NCHSAA and the TFOA for the last ten years.
