PISGAH NAMES NEW HEAD FOOTBALL COACH
CANTON—Pisgah High School has announced its new head football coach, according to the Asheville Citizen-Times.
Brett Chappell, who for the last eight seasons has been the head coach at East Henderson, has been named to head the Black Bears program.
Chappell was 67-35 during his stint at East and his team won the Western North Carolina Athletic Conference championship last year, posting an 11-2 overall mark.
Chappell will replace David Pressley, who guided the Pisgah football program for 12 years and has stepped down, but will continue at the school as athletic director.
The new Pisgah coach is a graduate of Rosman High School and went on to play football at Western Carolina University.
