GASTON COUNTY COACH HITS MILESTONE
GASTONIA-- A Gaston County basketball coach has achieved a coaching milestone, according to the Gaston Gazette.
Butch Blaylock, the head men's basketball coach at Highland Tech, earned his 300th career coaching victory last week when his Rams downed East Lincoln.
According to the Gazette, Blalock became the eighth basketball coach in Gaston County history to reach 300 wins.
In his 11th season at Highland Tech, Blalock has a 147-114 record with the Rams, including 8-4 this season. He previously coached nine seasons at Hunter Huss, going 153-77 with two conference championships.
Butch is a graduate of Kings Mountain High School and is a graduate of Tennessee Tech.
