On this day in history in the NCHSAA, Bill Bost of Bandys High School recorded his 400th coaching victory as his Bandys men's team defeated Cherryville 61-50, led by Vernon Odom's 25 points. For several years, Bost coached both the men's and women's varsity teams simultaneously at Bandys and he is a member of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame.
