VETERAN NORTHWOOD COACHES HAVE ANNOUNCED RETIREMENT
PITTSBORO -- Two long-time high school coaches at Northwood High School have announced their retirement from coaching, according to athletic director Jason Amy.
Ron Horton and Jack Middleton are both retiring from their coaching positions. Horton has enjoyed a 40-year career during which he coached a number of sports, including cross country, baseball, basketball and football. Middleton has coached both women's and men's soccer over a period of 33 years.
"These two coaches have given a lot to their sports and helped me tremendously over the years," said Amy.
We appreciate Northwood High School sharing the information for the NCHSAA web site.
