On this day in history in the NCHSAA, the Wachovia Cup champions for the 1991-92 academic year are honored at the eighth annual North Carolina High School Athletic Association Day at Kenan Stadium, during which North Carolina defeated Army 22-9. Hendersonville, North Carolina School of Science and Math, High Point Central and Charlotte Providence received the Cups.
