EAST DUPLIN'S JERRY HUNTER DIES AT 60
BEULAVILLE - Long-time East Duplin High School coach and athletic director Jerry Hunter, 60, of Beulaville died Friday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
He served as East Duplin's athletic director for more than 20 years. He was diagnosed with colon cancer around Easter and has been hospitalized since Memorial Day, according to the Jacksonville Daily News.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Beulaville Baptist Church. Burial will follow at East Duplin Memorial Gardens.
