CAROLINA PANTHERS TO AWARD FOUR HIGH SCHOOLS WITH WEIGHT ROOM MAKEOVERS
Team will donate $250,000
of weight training equipment
CHARLOTTE -- The Carolina
Panthers are now accepting applications for a “High School Weight Room
Makeover” grant program which will award four “weight room makeovers” to high
schools in the Carolinas.
The winning high school
athletic programs will receive the actual weight training equipment that was
previously used by the Carolina Panthers for the team’s strength and
conditioning program. The
equipment is expertly maintained and in excellent condition. The Panthers will
deliver the equipment to the winning schools the week of July 25, 2011
All high schools in North
and South Carolina are eligible to apply. Applications for the program can be
downloaded at www.panthers.com/community. Deadline for consideration is July
15, 2011.
In addition to both lower
and upper body equipment, each school will receive over 1000 pounds in free
weights.
