CHEROKEE NAMES NEW MEN'S
HEAD BASKETBALL COACH
CHEROKEE-- Cherokee
High School has announced that Rob Strong will be the school's next men's
basketball coach.
Cherokee has hired the
former Hendersonville basketball coach, who stepped down at Hendersonville
in 2010 after taking the Bearcats to the 1-A Western Regional championship
game.
Strong went 71-17 in
three seasons and led Hendersonville to three consecutive appearances in the
1-A Western Regional tournament.
Strong was the athletic director at North Wilkes during the 2010-11 academic year.
