NATIONAL
CHAMPIONSHIP HAD DISTINCT NCHSAA TIES
The NCAA Football Championship Subdivision
(FCS) Division I National Championship game this year in Frisco, Texas, had a
distinct connection to the North Carolina High School Athletic Association.
Supervisor of officials Mark Dreibelbis
reports that there were three current NCHSAA affiliated officials in the national
championship crew. They included Tim Graham of the North State
Association, Jamey Tricoli of the Western North Carolina Officials Association
and Rodney Burnette of the Metrolina Association.
"That is quite an
accomplishment and speaks volumes for the quality and breadth of our
officiating base," said Dreibelbis.
"I want to thank these individuals for their commitment and service
to our officiating program and congratulate them on this tremendous accomplishment."
