T.C. ROBERSON "RING OF GOLD" WILL HONOR 7
ASHEVILLE -- T.C. Roberson High School will add seven individuals to its athletic hall of fame in April.
According to the Asheville Citizen-Times, the inductees into the “Ring of Gold” at T.C. Roberson include the following athletes: Joy Doner (soccer), Tom Franklin (baseball, basketball and football), Sarah-Vance Goodman (cross country, tennis and track), Danny Montgomery (baseball and basketball) and Amy Price Peters (basketball, softball and volleyball). Administrators and coaches who will be recognized include Richard Fox (ex-Rams club president and public-address announcer) and veteran coach Rich Sizemore (baseball, basketball, football and track).
Sizemore won 448 basketball games and 19 regular-season or conference tournament championships with the Rams before stepping down in 2005. The basketball court at the school was named in honor of Sizemore three years ago.
