GASTON COUNTY TO HOLD CONCUSSION FORUM FOR COACHES
GASTONIA -- Coaches in Gaston County and the surrounding area of the state have an excellent learning opportunity relative to an important topic: concussions.
Caromont and Sports Plus are sponsoring a Concussion Forum for coaches at Gaston Memorial Hospital. It is scheduled for February 9 starting at 6:30 p.m.
Coaches will have the opportunity to learn about the true nature of concussions, the proper recognition and evaluation of a concussion and more. A former professional athlete will discuss his personal experience with concussions and how they impacted his career.
This is another in a series of examples of how the community and the schools are working together for the betterment of student-athletes.
