EAST BLADEN HONORS FORMER PLAYER
The Wilmington Star-News has reported that one of East Bladen High School's all-time great women's basketball players has had her jersey retired.
East Bladen has retired the jersey of Dorothy Corbett.
Corbett scored 1,577 points during her East Bladen career from 2002-2006, leading her team to its first-ever Eastern Regional appearance in 2005. She also tallied 1,013 rebounds and 355 blocks.
Corbett went on to play two years for Louisburg College and finished her collegiate career at UNC-Greensboro.
